My first cross stitch kit!

For my sister's 21st birthday, I decided to cross stitch a cute little forever friends bear. As it was my first cross stitch kit, I went for a fairly small design and one without french knots!  Once it was finished, I displayed it in a silver frame. She was very pleased with it!

My first cross stitch collection

In November 2012 one of my good friends  got me into the world of cross stitching! Since then I have collected many threads, kits and even started a magazine subscription. I find it very relaxing and it definitely takes your mind off work once you come home.

Over Christmas, I cross-stitched a range of Christmas designs to go onto cards. Each motif took approximately 3 hours. Some people decided to keep the cross stitched part and use it as a tree decoration which is a lovely idea. I hope you like them!

Christmas cards 2012

Here are a selection of Christmas cards I made last year. I sketched the Father Christmas's and added sequins and bobbles for detail. I made around 30 in total and needless to say they took quite a while to do. Will have to think of a new design for next year!
